WHAT TO EXPECT
We’re going to find a balance between gentle posing you so you look beautiful (I promise you will!) and letting things unfold naturally so we capture things authentically. All you need to do is be yourselves & cuddle that new bundle of love!
We’ll want as much light inside as possible for the prettiest results, so pull up blinds and open those curtains. I love to have the option of shooting in multiple rooms - so anything you don’t want photographed can be stored away for the shoot. But please don't worry about having the "perfect" tidy home. I'll move anything distracting out of backgrounds.
If our shoot is taking place in the colder months, put the heating up a little more than usual - this helps to keep baby comfortable, more likely to stay sleepy & be happy being changed into different outfits, without them getting cold.
If possible, try to feed the baby right before the session begins. This should hopefully create a window for us to start shooting with baby happy and sleepy for a while.
AFTER THE SESSION: All images are carefully hand edited & delivered within 3 weeks of your session, via a private online gallery. Prints can be ordered through your gallery.

WHAT TO WEAR
Texture and clothes that move are the camera’s best friend (think linen, loose cotton, knitwear, flowy dresses, etc.)
Don’t be afraid of print and colour, but opt for smaller prints rather than larger prints.
Avoid anything with words/logos
When in doubt - keep things simple - pick out neutral/earthy tones that complement each other.
Babies look best in a simple short-sleeved vest, dungarees/overalls or just a nappy cover/shorts (let's see those thigh rolls!!) Separates often end up getting bunched up when you hold little ones.
Check out my pinterest board HERE for ideas.
Feel free to send me photos of outfit options if you need help deciding.
You definitely don't need to buy anything new for your shoot, but if you want to treat yourself - my favorite sources for clothes for portrait sessions: Zara, Mango & ASOS

If there's anything I can help you with in the run up to the day, just give me a shout!
